Sworn Brothers”, (also known as "Secret Reunion") the movie that was directed by Jang Hun attracted some 5.5 million viewers early this year.  Now for his next movie GOJIJEON which will be filmed in Baekamsan, it is hoped that the film location can be cultivated to be a place of public interest.

The story takes place in South Korea during the war, before the 1953 cease-fire.  The battle scene accounts for 80% of the entire film.  Playing the lead is popular actor Ko Soo with two other top actors Shin Ha Kyun and Kim Ok Bin.  It is believed that promoting and fostering public interest in Bakamsan will be a big help to the local economy.

Film production company TPS has committed 100 billion won in production costs.  The film to be directed by Jang Hun and written by Park Sang Yeon (Queen Seon Deok) is slated for a summer 2011 release.

Construction work at Baekamsan, the film location, will begin on 25th August to be completed by September.  Filming at the site will start from middle of October for 3 months.

When filming starts in mid-October, there will be more than 300 actors and production personnel residing at foster accommodation at Baekamsan for 3 months which is the duration of the shoot.  There will be dining facilities as well as training facilities for the cast and crew.  There are plans to allow tourists and visitors to watch top actors at work with a view of promoting public interest to the film site at Baekamsan.
