Ko Soo Now and 10 years ago
The 3rd "Next Generation Korean Film Festival" will be held from April 15 to 18, 2011 with special guests most popular actor Ko Soo and talented director Jang Hoon who will visit Beppu, Japan.

Last year, Jang Hoon’s movie "Sworn Brother" was awarded the Best Director by Film Critics Association Awards in Korea, and now he’s depicting the battle of the Korean War in his latest work “Gojijeon” with popular actor Ko Soo. The hottest news said they decided to participate in two festivals.

The festival called ‘Hot Beppu’ to aim the introducing of Japanese Hot Spa. There’ll be screening venues in Beppu City Central Public Hall, and the location are near the hot spring so while you’re enjoying the bathing, you’ll be able to watch Korean movies.

Here’s the schedule :

Doors open at 6:00 pm - April 15, starting at 1:40 6. The film ends after the scheduled 9:30 pm. Beacon Plaza/ Opening Ceremony - Opening Film "Brother" (tentative). General Admission 1,500 yen (advance ticket) 2000 yen (day). Special guest: the cast of the movie (except for director Kiyoshi Sasaki).

Doors open 9:00 am - April 16, starting at 9:20 - 6:30 pm. Beppu City Hall Community Center 2nd Floor. Movie "Duelist" – Symposium.
Movie "Psychic" (or "White Night") = more than 3000 yen for all day pass (advance tickets), 4000 yen (day). Film screenings are scheduled at present. May be changed.

Doors open 7:00 pm - April 16, starting at 7:30, will end at 9. Hall Suginoi Hotel Hikari / "Welcome Reception" (a buffet party). Special guest : everyone is attending. Admission 000 yen (advance tickets), tickets 12,000 yen (for both visitors, Masu Hashi presented a poster at the entrance to the official festival site). Agenda : Remarks by Special Guest, Korean cinema impressionistic essays contest awards ceremony, raffle, sign session.

Started April 16, noon - 6:00 pm: 1st Floor Hall Community Center in Beppu / Japan-Korea Film Seminar/ "Genealogies" (directed by Im Kwon) - Kim Jong Won (movie teacher) - "Marine No Return" (directed by Mani). Free Admission.

10:00 am - 7:00 pm - April 17: Bluebird Theatre, Level 3 / Korean Movies Seminars / "Genealogies", Film Seminar by Professor Kim Jong-won, "Evergreen" (directed by Sanoku) – Short Film Seminar - "Curtain Call" (directed by Kiyoshi). Free.
