Ko Soo exhibits fighting spirit for PSYCHIC despite injury
In this movie, Ko Soo takes on the role of Gyu-nam and like Gyu-nam, he wants to live a happy and contented life in a world of greed and prejudice.
Gyu-nam is a passionate youth who doesn’t have any parents nor brothers. Though he is poor, he blames no one for his misfortune and lives day to day seriously with an honest heart. He is 100% purity.
However, when Ko Soo meets the psychic (Kang Dong-won), he transforms from a pure happy youth to one with rising anger. Ko Soo expresses the emotion of someone who drastically changes in character perfectly.
In a confrontational scene Kang Dong-won uses his glare and beats up Gyu-nam (played by Ko Soo) ceaselessly and Ko Soo has to roll over and then falls.
In order for the action scene to appear realistic, Ko Soo did not use a wire for the shoot despite advice from the production crew. He had an accident and was injured in the face.
Ko Soo says, “That scene was special since I had chosen to do “Psychic”. During the shoot, “Psychic” was everything to me”.
PSYCHIC will be released on November 11, 2010.
