Ryu Seung-beom, Ko Soo and Jo Yeo-jeong enjoy the glory of being the first 3 recipients of the newly established actor awards at the 14th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival

This year, the film festival kicked off with a red carpet event followed by the opening ceremony at 7 pm on Wednesday, 15th July at the Bucheon Civic Centre. Ryu Seung-beom, Ko Soo, Jo Yeo-jeong, Oh Ji Ho, Cho Jae-hyun and many other actors attended.

The opening event was an awards presentation ceremony for the recipients of the newly established Male & Female ‘Fantasia Award’ and the Actor’s Award. Ryu Seung-beom had the honour of being the first winner of the “Actor’s Award” while Ko Soo and Jo Yeo-jeong were the proud recipients of the Male & Female “Fantasia Award” chosen by the citizens of Bucheon.

Ryu received the award from the President of the Screen Actors Guild. He said, "I'm honoured to receive this award and it is fantastic to work in the film industry".

Ko Soo who gave an impassioned performance in WHITE NIGHT and Jo Yeo-jeong also for her excellent work had the honour of winning the Male & Female “Fantasia Award”. The awards were the result of voting by the people of Bucheon and they had given Ko Soo and Yeo-jeong solid support as the male and female actors they love most.

Ko Soo said, “I used to attend the Puchon Film Festival as a spectator. It is an honour for me to come here to receive the award this year”. Jo Yeo-jeong added, “As the first actor to receive this award, I will work harder”.

The 14th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival will be held from July 15th to the 25th at the Bucheon Civic Centre and theatres around the city of Bucheon for 11 days.
