Our Dear Ko Soo

By : Nonie

People said there is no such perfect happiness, you lose some you gain some. Now Ko Soo has found the love of his life but fans start to take distance from him. No wonder why there are many actors hide  their family or just lie that they are single when actually they are married. All for the shake of the popularity, they are scared their fans will leave them.

All won't be happened if fans are mature enough.  What's the problem if your favorite actor has girl friend or even get married ? They are just like us. If fans can marry another man why your favorite actor can't marry the woman he loves ?

Shah Rukh Khan and His Family

Silly, silly, silly ! Sorry if I've got carried away but we are fans should not live in a 'pink cloud'. I really love Shah Rukh Khan's fans who loves him although he has wife and children. People even loves him more because he loves his wife despite disagreement of his wife's parents. It makes him like a real hero in a real life. That's why people loves him a lot when he acted as Raj Malhotra in "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge"

Now, our Ko Soo , for me he is like the character he acts on the screen. He respects the woman he loves, that's why he didn't hide that he has someone although I am sure HB entertainment told him to deny his relationship, but our Ko Soo, he doesn't disappoint us by telling lies. Don't you think this kind of man is very rare in the entertainment industry ? Even Hyun Bin denied that he broke up with Song Hye Gyo when actually he was.

Honestly I love Ko Soo because he is like the way I hope ; A nice man. Those beautiful moist eyes are really not an act, cause he is honest on screen and of screen. Just like I love Shah Rukh Khan who is a nice husband and good father, I hope our Ko Soo will be like him at least.

Amitha Bachan

Now some silly fans may take a distance from him but I hope Our Ko Soo won't give up and he will act better in the future like Kim Yoon Hoon in "Marrying A Millionaire", A good actor will always be needed than a good looking actor. Youthfulness will go one day, but good actor will always shine ; simple example : Amitha Bachan who becomes one of the most expensive actor in Bollywood although he is more than 60 years old... !!!

Fighting, Jia You, Ko Soo ssie, We love you !!

Ko Soo : Ha Ji Won is my ideal type (LOL)

By : KIF  Team

Few months ago, media has published again Ko Soo's statement about Ha Ji Won as his ideal type. For a shy Ko Soo, his statement made us a little bit shock yet amused, since it sounds that he spreads his own gossip.

But it seems our Ko Soo is in very good mood to shock his fans (LOL). Not long after his statement, the media has spread the rumor that he is dating a college student and she is not someone from entertainment industry. And today, March 10th 2010, he reveals his relationship to public. From the way Ko Soo admits loudly that he dated someone, it sound that the wedding bell will be heard soon.

As  fans honestly we feel sad. We are not sure why but somehow, we know that those beautiful eyes will look at the woman he truly loves and it is not an act.

For a moment it will be difficult to see him in a romantic scene, and  we are sure Ko Soo will be very carefully to choose his role. Luckily Ko Soo's recent films are not romantic film, that's a relief... for the time being. (LOL)

Now about the other fans, generally at the beginning they will be sad, like us  since something change. Some perhaps disappointed as Ko Soo, few months ago still said that he had no plan to get married soon, although he added that marriage was not something you want and you get it. You never knew when you met the right person. Now, Ko Soo has met the right person, and some fans may leave him or perhaps love him more for his courage to reveal loudly his relationship.

KIF is some of fans who loves him more for his brave confession. It means, our Ko Soo is a nice person on and off. He understands the risk but he still goes on, this part  he is so "Im Gyu Nam". We will continue to support him, since we don't only love him as an actor but also as a person.

Congratulation Ko Soo ssie , we wish you a beautiful love with her....

Psychic Stills And Review

By : Nonie

The scene begins with the childhood life of a young Choi In  (Kang Dong -won). His mother covered his eyes and comfort him that he will heal faster. The tender moment of a mother and a son is  interrupted by Choi-in's mother abusive husband. He beats up Choi In's mother and it ends up provoked the anger of young Choi In.

And as we expected the little Choi In kills the man by his powerful eyes; the eyes who can control other to do what ever he wants, and the mother gets tired to him and decides to die together. But little Cho In eyes saves his life.
The flashback of Cho In childhood, give the viewer a brief description about Choi In's character when he grew up.

This is the adult Choi In , staying in the luxury hotel room, brooding and blames the world to make him such a a freak. If it is the weather , the best comparison of Choi In 's character is like the " dark night in a cold winter"

And here we are our Ko Soo, smiles broadly. Im Gyu Nam "the bright sun in the beautiful summer" is a simple, honest young man who works at the junk yard with his two foreigner best friends : a Ghanaian; "Boba" and a Turkish, Ali.
The way Gyu Nam's making friends with the 'second class foreigners' make the viewer understand how kind our Gyu Nam is ; the kindness that pass the race and the religion. I love when the three of them talk. Boba is the baby of the three, and Ali is the worrier. But Gyu Nam is their leader; the way they call him : 'Hyungnim" is somehow give the effect of love and respect.

On Friday they hang out together, funny thing : they go to the amusement park. It's hilarious to see how childish the three of them. At the end of the day : "Happy birthday" ....Ohh  the overhelming Gyu Nam smiles broadly receiving his birthday present. But uppps! What unexpected thing happened; Gyu Nam is hit by a car!
Here are  the three of them in the hospital. It's funny to see the way Boba's holding Gyu Nam's hand , and Ali's chat about "man's  three turning point". And Gyu Nam has done three already : Thomas runs away with his money, having unexpected accident and the third : He is fired from his job !!! (LOL)

What a funny thing to say that Gyu Nam actually has messed up  his life. Other may find what happened to Gyu Nam is something very miserable that even worth to commit suicide, but Gyu Nam just wakes up and looks for a job even when he has his leg cast

Utopia is a place where Gyu Nam apply for a job, it's a very small company and Gyu Nam is the only employee. There is a funny thing about the interview; Mr Cho, the boss, calls a police officer to check on Gyu Nam's crime record secretly. But since he has bad eyesight he cannot read Gyu Nam's  ID number easily. Gyu Nam who overhears the conversation dictates the number for him instead.
This scene is funny of course but it gives again another description what kind of person Gyu Nam is. He doesn't get upset easily when other will. He takes everything at the bright side; normally Mr. Cho's act should hurt his pride but Gyu Nam takes it as a normal procedure.

The interview is something I love to highlight; when Mr. Cho ask Gyu Nam what he thought about life. Gyu Nam shyly said : " Life....., we live until we die" What a wonderful simple opinion which is very difficult to apply.

The first encounter between Cho In and Gyu Nam happened to be in his work place. That day Boba and Ali visit Gyu Nam's new office and he proudly says his new title : representative Im Gyu Nam. he loves his new job, his boss and of course the boss' daughter : Yoon Seok .
Suddenly the door opens, Choi In comes in and everybody freeze, lose their conscious. Even Gyu Nam at the beginning is affected. But he struggles, his fingers starts to move and slowly his head turn to where Choi In's standing.

This is the beginning war between Choi In and Gyu Nam. After Mr.Cho died, and Gyu Nam realized how scarry  and dangerous 'the evil spirit' Choi In.

At first, he tried to turn Choi In to the police by giving them the video of CCTV. But alas, instead of keep their eyes to the suspect, they suspect more Gyu Nam, who they think , talk nonsense about the 'psychic' thing. There are another lines that I love from the conversation between Gyu Nam and Choi In.

Gyu Nam : "Why did you kill my president ?, Can you revive him ?"
Cho In : " Of course , no"
Gyu Nam : " Then why do you kill people when you cannot revive them ?"
Again another 'wing's lines to explain that human no matter what doesn't have right to kill other people. The only One who can take human's life is only God, because He is the only one who's able to revive them.

In every encounter between Cho In and Gyu Nam, Choi In will blame Gyu Nam for his action. He kills because Gyu Nam doesn't want to give up. When Gyu Nam asks him what he had to do to  make him stop kiliing people. Cho In only wants him to see him die.

Gyu Nam loses his two best friends, again normal people will just kill himself in this condition to save other's life and stop the Choi In's torturing. But Gyu Nam with his weapon" we live until we die" , struggles not to kill himself. His power is not his muscle or his super power strenght; his power is his strength to go on living no matter how hard he faces his life. And since he respect his life, he respects others life too.

Nothing and nobody should kill people purposely since human's life is in God's hand. And I love the last lines what Gyu Nam's said at the scene in the rooftop " I will live to see you die", and  when both of Gyu Nam and Choi In fall from the rooftop , again Gyu Nam's lines are very touching.

"Perhaps if we meet in another circumstance we will become a good friend", what a wonderful man with no ill heart at all. And Ko Soo has portrayed the wonderful Gyu Nam's perfectly. I should say Ko Soo in this film is like a  wonderful warm heart country boy. He is cool because he is simple, he is wonderful because he has a banal principle of life "We live until we die" which is the most difficult lines to apply in a real  life.

Tonight's Love

By : Nonie

Love is in the air, lovers meet at February 14th. I wonder what Ko Soo and Ha Ji Won 's doing during this lover's day. Do they have their own date ? Or they make a move like fans hope?
Although Ko Soo is not the only admire but it seems there are many Ha Ji Won's fans who hope them end up together.

More than thousand people recently visited our blog these few days and all they searched was the article about Ko Soo and Ha Ji Won. It's surprising how Ko Soo who had no gossip suddenly become the  on the top search because of what he said last year.

Honestly there are the best part of Ko Soo and Ha Ji Won that I love most : Their eyes, they both have moist eyes, it makes my heart beat so fast only to imagine how wonderful their eyes if they meet in each other.

Ko Soo in Sageuk Drama

By : Nonie

Ever since I've watched Ko Soo's works, I haven't seen him in sanggeuk drama or movie. The only sageuk scene I've ever seen is long time ago in a MV "Fool" when he acted along Lee Eun Joo (RIP) in 1999.(See MV section).

A Part from his photoshot with Ha Ji Won ten years ago, I've personally never seen him in hanbok. I wonder if Ko Soo wants to try to act in sageuk drama especially if he can act along Ha Ji Won who had more experienced in this kind of drama regarding what she has done with "DAMO", "DUELIST" and "HWANG JIN YI"

Ko Soo is very good in martial art, I believe the action scenes won't be a big deal for him. Or I should say he is really good in sport. I've watched one TV show when he should  jump over a huge stuff, everybody was surprised since he was the only who can made it.

Somehow I miss Ko Soo in the drama, it feels like years I haven't seen him cried over the love . He...he..he I am a little bit melancholic but what can I say it's very difficult to get rid the 'melancholic' image of Ko Soo. I really miss those watering deep eyes of him.

About "SOME"

"Despite these reservations, it's a mystery to me why this film performed so horribly at the box-office. I accept that TV star Goh Soo and newcomer Song Ji-hyo (Wishing Stairs) don't have the star presence of Shim Eun-ha, Han Suk-kyu, or Jeon Do-yeon, who graced Chang's previous movies. Perhaps poor marketing was to blame, because Some didn't face much competition at the box office, yet few viewers bothered to check it out. The crowd I watched it with seemed quite engaged, and word of mouth was generally positive. In the end, Some remains a fascinating, nuanced feature which lost buckets of money, and which is well worth remembering"
a part of SOME's review from http://koreanfilm.org/kfilm04.html#some

"If you didn't know better, you'd swear leading man Soo Go, playing a rebel cop name Kang Sung-joo, and Ji-hyo Song, playing a spunky traffic reporter who becomes unwittingly entangled in Kang's investigation, were veterans of the trade. More surprising, then, that "Some" is Go's first movie and Song's second (having been in the last "Whispering Corridors" installment, "Wishing Stairs")."

Me, myself, when I watched Ko Soo in "SOME", I wondered how old was he ? I was surprised that "SOME" is Ko Soo's old film, cause Ko Soo looked 10 years older than his age. He wasn't a cute ,good looking boy here, he acted as a middle age cop. Along Ko Soo is Song Ji Hyo (Goong, Frozen Flower), at the beginning I didn't realize it was her.

Ko Soo gets an award for his acting in "SOME", he did all the dangerous scenes by himself, without stunt's help. He indeed worked very hard for this film and I still don't understand why this film failed at the box office.I think the burden for Ko Soo is a little bit too hard especially his co-star is Song Ji Hyo who was a new comer. The case will be different if Song Ji Hyo casts in "Some" after "Goong". The cast didn't choose well although the film is good.

I am happy that Ko Soo finally gets over his trauma syndrome with the movie, like he acted recently in "Into The White Night" along  Song Ye Jin  and the most waited : "PSYCHIC" along with Kang Dong Won.

Here is some movie stills from "SOME" :
