Han Ye Seul

It's almost Christmas, somehow every Christmas I will remember  Ko Soo latest drama with Han Ye Seul : "Will It Snow For Christmas?" , a beautiful heartache love story that linger in my mind again and again.
Ko Soo may act with many beautiful actresses but I still think Ko Soo best drama is "WISFC". His mature acting brings his female co-star to really enter the world of Cha Kang Jin and Han Ji Wan.

I am not a fan of Han Ye Seul actually, but I can't deny that Han Ye Seul has good chemistry with Ko Soo in "WISFC". Han Ji Wan is not really a strong character but she is somehow fit with Cha Kang Jin's character, She thought more with her emotion instead with her brain, which is the opposite with Cha Kang Jin's character.

In Myun Wol The Spy

But she is a kind of girl  who cannot stand with something injustice although she ends up .getting into trouble for meddling with the other business. She is annoying but sweet in the same time, she thought for other first before herself. Which actually her inner character is similar to Cha Kang Jin.

Han Ye Seul in : Fantasy Couple

Han Ye Seul can be so adorable as Han Ji Wan, she can show the silliness of Ha Ji Wan, her sadness and her persistent love for Cha kang Jin. I still love Han Ye Seul as Han Ji Wan more than her latest character in "Myung Wol The Spy" along Eric.

Before "WISFC" I've never watched Han Ye Seul drama and film, I know her more as CF Queen and one of an actress who act in Bi Rain MV.

Han Ye Seul was born on September 18, in California, among all her dramas I watched "Fantasy Couple" and "Myung Wol The Spy". There is one of her film that I watched : Miss gold Digger. But for me the film is too boring although she received Best New Actress Award in Blue Dragon Award 2008.

Interview with Son Ye Jin :"Not too close with KO SOO ? Are you watching, my brother!"

She clarified her buzzing statement 'I'm not too close with Ko Soo': Were you seeing him?
"Oh, sort of." (laughs)

She is Son Ye-jin, a colder than ice femme fatale yet hot like a fire in her movie 'Baekyahaeng' aka 'White Night'.

Platonic relationship with KO SOO ? What's up with the buzzing statement?

-skipped-

In acting world, there's some match down of actors to portray their characters best. In particular, Ko Soo and Son Ye-Jin in 'White Night' as a femme fatale Yumi.

"The shooting of 'White Night' was the hardest work ever. Yumi's character is a two-faces woman. With Ko Soo in 'White Night' we couldn't meet often since there's only few scenes to shot together. So we couldn't talk much. It was very difficult to get to know each other."

"Wait, let me have this opportunity to explain what happened. I appeared on the radio and somehow said that I'm closer with Lee Min Ki than with Ko Soo, then I saw the article about it. Looks like there's a misunderstanding about my words. What I mean is with Min Ki (when filming 'Chilling Romance') we met frequently so the intimate feeling occurred more quickly than with Ko Soo (when filming 'White Night'). Because Ko Soo didn't want to dismantle the feeling of his character so he created the wall between us. My brother Ko Soo, are you watching! I want an opportunity in the future to work with you once more. As very intimate character (laughs)."

WID : I remember that in one particular interview, SYJ said during White Night shooting days Ko Soo was always sitting alone in the dark corner and didn't say anything to anyone. It's his acting method to feel the loneliness of Yohan, his character. Ko Soo and SYJ were getting closer when they promoted White Night... up to now, I guess :)

Nonie : And here's one of the interview, which ....what should I say, they look comfortable to each other, and as a result the chemistry between them on the screen is great although there is no romantic scene at all.

Son Ye Jin

While waiting for new Ko Sooo's film "Gojijeon", I back to my old article of "co-star'. This time I pick : Son Ye Jin, Ko Soo's co-star in "Into The White Night"

Son Ye Jin was born on January 11, 1982. She is one of the famous actress in Asia. If we look at her profile, She's received award almost every year  since her debut, from best new talent in "Delicious Proposal" when she was a new comer along the other new comers (who become very famous now), Kwon Sang Wo, Ji Sung and So Ji Sub, until her latest film before she acted with Ko Soo : "My Wife Got Married" (2009) . She made more films than drama, she's even famous as the blockbuster actress, that's the reason perhaps why she was pairing with Ko Soo who's just returned from his military service.

I am not a huge fan of  Son Ye Jin, but I did watch several of her work. "Summer Scent" is her first drama I have watched along with Song Seun Heon. The rumors that during filming "Summer Scent" both Ye Jin and Seun Heon didn't get along very well. But they do look adorable on the screen.

But the most unforgettable films of her is "Moment To Remember", she was pairing with Jeong Woo Seong who is 9 years older than her. Somehow she was pairing with an actor who is much older than her, like Bae Yong Joon in "April Snow", BYJ 's even 10 years older than her.  And in the drama "Alone in Love"  (this is a must drama to watch) she is pairing with Kam Woo Seon who is 12 older than her.

In "Moment to Remember"

In " Alone in Love"

In "April Snow"
Son looks good when she's pairing with an actor older than her, but well when she acted along Lee Min Hoo (who is 6 years younger than her)  in "Personal Preference", I have this series but I choose not to continue to watch it. She looks like an ahjuma in this drama, and simply ; the chemistry is worse than I expected.

In "Personal Preference" or "Personal Taste"
Next year project for Song is a film : "Chilling Romance" where she will collaborate with Lee Min Ki who is 3 years younger than her. Ha..ha...ha it seems she's pairing with the 'young dude' now, will she becomes another 'ahjuma' ?

How about the bed scenes ? When I watch Son Ye Jin movie I need to be  aware as much as when I watch Jeon Do Yeon's. They are both beautiful and talented actress but it's true that they almost have bed scenes in every movie they act. I didn't offend it but some warning when you watch their movie with the underage.

And how is Song Ye Jin chemistry with Ko Soo? I think is my second rank, they look good together although there is no romantic scene between Ko Soo and her in "Into The White Night". Off screen? many fans like to match her with Ko Soo, but me....I prefer Ko Soo with Han Ji Won....ha..ha..ha I just love her a lot especially in her current drama airing in SBS along Hyun Bin : "Secret Garden".

At the end, here's some of Cris artworks, who really likes to match Ko Soo and Ye Jin, enjoy :

Song Ji Hyo

With Ko Soo in "SOME" (2004)

Song Ji Hyo cooperated with Ko Soo in "SOME" (2004).  When I watched her in "SOME" I keep asking myself, where I have seen her. Of course she is "Min Hyo Rin" in "PRINCESS HOURS".
Song is not really young, her age is only three years younger than Ko Soo but when I look back at her role in "PRINCESS HOURS" or "SOME" , she looks much younger than her age.

PRINCESS HOURS "GOONG" (2006)

Every time I remember "SOME", I could only upset , why such a good film is flop in the market. But in 2004, Song is only a new comer, but she can balance her acting with Ko Soo. Somehow they look cute when they are bickering. If only Song acted in this film after her "PRINCESS HOURS" , I believe the outcome will be different, at least the burden is lesser for Ko Soo.

I watched Song Ji Hyo again in Jumong (2006) but it isn't a big role. Her big step, and it shock me, is her role in "FROZEN FLOWER"  (2008) along with Joo Jin Moo (Queen of The Game, 100 Pounds Beauty) and Jo In Seong  (Piano, Story In Bali).

In the "FROZEN FLOWER" she acted as a Queen who has to make love with the King Guardian (Jo In Seong) to have the kingdom heir because the King (Jio Jin Moo) is a gay. It's a very controversial film and there are many bed scenes. Song looks much mature in this movie, she transformed herself as a queen and even her voice changed.

Kim Ha Neul

Kim Ha Neul and Ko Soo in "Piano"

Kim Ha Neul acted along Ko Soo in "Piano", they acted as step brother and sister. They love each other but since they are family, they can't be together.

"Piano"

"Piano"

Kim Han Neul was born on  February 21st 1978.  She was born in the same year as Ko Soo, beside her cooperation in 'Piano', she also worked with him as models for Juliet Gold (2001). Here are some BTS during the photo shoot.

 Julliet BTS (2)

I watched several of Kim Ha Neul work, Stained Glasses along with Lee Dong Gun; in this film she acted as a strong girl who is loved by two best friends. Unfortunately she is failed to act as a strong girl, she is too weak to be the one. Her character in Piano as Soo Ah was more suitable for her.

Stain Glasses along with Lee Dong Gun
Kim Ha neul in "On Air"
In 2008, she acted in "On Air" in which she got top excellent award . In 2004 she acted along Kang Dong Won (Ko Soo co- star in Psychic) in "Too Beautiful Too Lie" in which she got 'best actress award". I watched this movie, and I should say she acted extremely well. The film itself is very funny,. Han Neul took a role as an ex -convict who has talent to lie.

"Too beautiful too lie" along Kang Dong Won
How about the chemistry between her and Ko Soo ? She is my second rank. They act fair together in "Piano" but Kim Han Neul best chemistry in Kwon Sang Woo. They collaborated twice ; first in "My Tutor Friend" (2003) and "Almost Love" ( 2006). The movies didn't get award but the first one become one of the most classic Korean Movie. If you are K-Movie addict, "My Tutor Friend" should be in your list ' must see' movie.

"Almost Love" again along Kwon Sang Woo

Kim Ha Neul public appereance

Kim Ha Neul is one of the best Korean actress. The best part of her that I love so much; she can 'manipulate' her looks really well to be fit in a role she acts. Ha Neul in a real life is a sophisticated girl, she's really beautiful but somehow she can be like 'a country' chick just like what Kwon Sag Wo said in "My Tutor Friend", and I agree with him.

Jo Jae Hyun

Jo Jae Hyun was born on June 30th 1965. He works together with Ko Soo in "Piano" (2001), he becomes Ko Soo's father. When Ko Soo return from his military service, he didn't start his work in the film like all actors generally but he starts his acting in the theater : "The Return of President  Eom" to which he is invited to perform upon the recommendation of Jo Jae Hyun. To Ko Soo, Jo Jae Hyun is not only his co-star but also his senior in acting. He learned a lot from his during  his debut.

Jo Jae Hyun in "Piano"

I really love the chemistry between Ko Soo and  Jo Jae Hyun in "Piano", they really like real father and son. The son who always tries to understand his father. It's not the father who makes the son become a wonderful person but instead it's the son who makes the father become a good man. Somehow I still hope this two actors can work again together. They remind me a lot of Lee Jun Ki and Lee Moon Sik in "Iljimae", they have strong chemistry between them.

Jo Jae Hyun in "New Heart"
Jo Jae Hyun is a prolific actor, he acted in many dramas and films since 1990. His recent drama is "New Heart" along with Ji Sung. It's a good drama and he acted as a cardiologist.  He got top excellent award actor  for his role in "New Heart" .In the big screen he recently acted in a hit movie : "Marine Boy" along with Kim Kang Woo and  Miss Korean Park Si Yeon.

"Marine Boy" press conference

But among of his films I remember I watched him in "Romance" (2006) paired with Kim Ji Soo. He acted a s a rough detective who falls in love with somebody's wife. The film is heartbreaking, I love him in this movie. Beside his remarkable acting in "Piano", Jo is very popular in the movie "Bad Guy" (2001) when he received a best actor.

Ha Ji Won

Ha Ji Won is only one year younger than Ko Soo, she didn't act together with him in the film but they had worked together in MV. The title is "Tears", it's a song released in 2001, and based on a true story about plane crash on 12th August 1985. Kim Tae Won is a Korean student who studies in Japan, he drops his girl friend to the airport. She takes a flight to Osaka, but few minutes after the plane take off, it crushes to the ground. There are 524 victims, include the crews, only 4 people survived.

I suddenly put the name of Ha Ji Won since in MBC latest interview, Ko Soo mentioned her name as his ideal type. So Let's see why Ko Soo praises so much about Han Ji Won.

This is Ha Ji Won in Hwang Jin Hyi, along with her acted the 'Korean Sweet Heart' Jang Geun Seok. It seems Ko Soo is not the only one who likes Ha Ji Won, Jang Geun Seok admitted that he has crushes on her during filming Hwang Jin Hyi, and like Ko Soo, he praised so much about Ha as a good actress.
Watching Ha in many roles, I personality say, Ha is an actress who understand very well that looks only a small contribution for popularity, viewer no matter what they need an actress who really knows how to act. Ha Ji Won is one of them.

This is Ha Ji Won along  with ''My" Lee Seo Jin in "Damo", one of the most memorable drama. I cried together with her when I watched this drama. She acted extremely well. Her martial art also is good, and she acted again in another action movie where she shows her martial art ability in "Duelist" along Kan Dong Won.

From "Daddy Long Leg", "Love is so Divine" until the most heart broken drama "Lovers in Bali", I just realize that after more than 10 years of her carriers, from a high school student in "100 days with Mr.Arrogant"(2004)  until her latest film " Closer to Heaven"(2009), her looks doesn't change a lot. How lucky she is...
