Green Rose (Part One)

Recently I was busy, ...busy watching Ko Soo's drama : Green Rose. I spent a lot of time to download the drama from the internet to find good subtitle. And here I am proudly present my work (ha..ha...ha).
I start with Ko Soo first look as Fugitive Lee Jung Hyun when he's fallen to Han river. I have so much pain when I saw Ko Soo in this scene; It must be hard also for him to act in this film. Cause even it is only act, he should go trough Lee Jung Hyun character and his difficulties.

Even with his fugitive looks, Ko Soo is still really good looking
People who has so much through usually has a bitter heart, but not Lee Jung Hyun
The other part for Oh Soo Ah (Lee Dae Hee) losing her beloved and her father comatose makes life more devastated. She has no reason to live, I will have that kind of thought if suddenly life change into hell like this.

But for Lee Jung Hyun is the opposite, he has full spirit of life because he knows the reason that he still alive, it's because of his mother sacrifice. She kills herself to make her son able to leave to prison. Jung Hyun has too much reason to live, Soo Ah and his mother; he needs to clear himself innocent so his mother sacrifice is not a waste.

I am so touched with this scene, when Jung Hyun sees So Ah from a far, the pain of the most painful thing is when you can't reach someone you love although she/he is so close ...

He is ....I love his simple look like this...

Life is about your determination, people said : "Dream come true!" , it's applied for Jung Hyun life. Perhaps in life, we need to collect ourselves to be able to reach what we really dream. Somehow this drama encourage me to go on living and hope. You are alone, but actually you are not, you live for one reason. That's what we should find out...

"I am Jang Joon Won...", to lie to someone you love, to ignore someone you love, to pretend become the other person before someone you love, that's the hardest thing in life. I love this drama because both Jung Hyun and So Ah ,they restraint each other. That's why it's heart broken.

Will It Snow For Christmas (Part 5)

"I am home Mom !, " Cha Kang Jin smiles sweetly to a woman he calls 'Mom' who is actually Ji Wan's mom. This is a part of the story line that keeps me going to watch, because it is far from what I expected. It surprises me to see Kang Jin sacrifices his life for Ji Wan's family when actually, like Ji Wan suggests they can run away. This part makes Kang Jin somehow too 'perfect'  but this is "Lee Kyung Hee" style. Lee wrote many tragic drama  (Love to Kill, Sang Do Let's Go To School, I Am Sorry I Love You) where the lead actor actually can take the easy path but they always choose the extremely difficult path which is too perfect for a normal people. But that's why the character becomes lovable.

"Ji Wan, you really test my patient. What this girl thinks she's doing ? I am in pain just like you. I want to hold you more than you think. But this is not what it's important now. We can't do it now, dear....just can't "

The dream house it's really become a dream now. A short happy time with Ji Wan that he really worried it's only a dream, now it's completely a dream. It's really heart broken to see Kang Jin in tears while he's dreaming, cause he can't complaint in a real life, he tries hard to act natural when inside he is in pain more than Ji Wan's thought.

"Work, both me and Park Tae Jun should work together. So we can face the bigger obstacle together. I always feel awkward before when I faced Tae Jun. It reminds me the days when Ji Wan and him were still together. I feel a strange attachment with him, because no matter what he's a man who was once closer to my Ji Wan" ( I love a lot Ko Soo look when he smiles a little like this).

"Now I really lost my patient Ji Wan. Ok, let's do the way you want, let's confess everything to your Mom. What ever the outcome, let's take risk together..."
This scene make Kang Jin's more human, he keeps silent it doesn't mean he doesn't want to be a normal people who can be together with their lover. He just tries hard to 'pay' what he owns to Ji Wan's family. But he has too much love for Ji Wan, that's why he is able to sacrifice everything.

"Can we hold hand at least ?" A simple gesture when Kan Jin takes Ji Wan's hand, but this is a true confession about his feeling. All the pretensions during the long three years reach it limit, he never wants to let go Ji Wan but yet he feels guilty and in debt to her family.

Kang Jin, when he lost his project to Pak Tae Jun, he seeks comfort from Ji Wan, he can't sleep but he sleeps soundly beside her in the bus. Now, he is heart broken to see his mom again, the first person he wants to see when he is in trouble is Ji Wan. he didn't realize how much he attaches to her until Ji Wan questions him about it. (I love this scene  a lot, this is a silence mutual feeling between Ji Wan and Kang Jin)

"O for Yes and X for No". Ko Soo portrayed Cha Kang Jin's character perfectly, he doesn't say much about his love for Ji Wan but his sacrifice, his silence is enough saying how much he loves her"

Ji Wan  indeed likes to do silly things; she is the opposite side of the serious Cha Kang Jin. Perhaps that's why they complete each other. Ji Wan has a simple thought while Kang Jin with his difficult background never takes everything lightly. (This scene is the second rank of my favorite  scene)

The tender kiss on the forehead, people said that's what every woman dream. I think I should agree with them, Kang Jin kiss in Ji Wan's forehead is the deepest love a man can express for his behalf.

"My mom is my mom no matter what she did. I wish her happiness, that's why I let her go, but I've never thought she will be suffering like today. I love you mom, still...."

(Ko Soo Song in the background)

Hongdo, don't cry       download

Amidst a flower wind of buying and selling love
You try to protect the pure light on your own
Hongdo, don’t cry, you have your oppa
Keep to the path of a wife

Did you see the moon shrouded in clouds?
The world is a cloud, and Hongdo’s the moonlight
For my love, who has faith in the heavens
the wind blows aside the clouds

The scene is very touching I love the background song when Kang Jin sang for his mom.(According to one explanation of the song, Hongdo is a woman who “buys and sells love” — she has sacrificed herself to provide for her family, and laments her poor life. Her brother returns having achieved success and tells her to stop crying now; she can take her life back, marry and be a wife. This is rather touching, since Kang-jin is essentially telling his mother that he’ll provide for her now, that she can seek her own happiness.)

Ko Soo experession in this scene reminds me of his look in "White Night", I am a huge fan of Kim Yo Han, so one word for this scene; Awww...droooling ! (LOL)

"Finally I confessed to her, I do everything because I don't want to lose her. I don't suffer so much because I have her by my side. I can overcome all difficulties as long as I have her beside me"
A sincere confession of Cha Kang Jin brings the two into real separation; Ji Wan's mom wakes up for her long 'sleep' and she is in horror to witness this scene.

This is the saddest part where Kang Jin answers all Ji Wan's questions without words, he just shows Ji Wan his agony by his teary eyes. Ahh ...Ko Soo, I am in tears too.

"So Long and take care....." That the most cliche words when lovers separates, but that's the true meaning of love. Together is not everything, love could means stubbornly wants to be together but love could also means to let go someone for the best. (Actually I hate it but it's true... to my disappointment)

Will It Snow For Christmas (Part 4)

Photobucket

"This is a dream, I convinced myself this is only a dream. I scold myself to get up and stop dreaming. I'm scared to sleep, I am scared that everything will be gone the moment I wake up in the morning. But I still feel your warm lips in mind, I still feel that I have you in my arm. Dear, finally I really have you in my arm..."
This is my favorite scene among all the 16 episodes. Ko Soo wonderful eyes, his unexpected smile, it's really unforgettable. It's impossible to talk about WISFC without this memorable scene.

"I call you this morning to make sure that everything is not a dream and I really want to show you something.  I think this is for the first time I feel that I deserve to be happy, we deserve to be happy, Ji Wan"
I may not be the only one who drools over Ko Soo in this scene. The dialogue at the 'dream house' it's romantic but it isn't cheesy. I smile to myself when I saw Ko Soo smiles like a sick love, he is really wonderful.

Photobucket

"It seems that not every body are happy for me, somehow my mom looks down and start to bugging me if she disagree with the woman I love. I just tease her ; don't be Cha Madame, or else your son will become bachelor for the rest of his life" (Ko Soo's wink is really funny, isn't it?)

But to Cha Kang Jin horror, he witnesses something he never crosses in his mind. Even in his wild dream he never thought his mom will have that kind of relationship with Ji Wan's father.
At the beginning Kang Jin shouts to his mom, he makes sure that she will not go anywhere, not with Ji Wan's father. But later, he cannot bear to see his mom in tears again......

"I always know you have someone you cannot forget, not me , not Bu Shan, not my father not Bu Shan's father. But I've never thought he is Ji Wan's father. Go Cha Madame, don't regret again, just go"
I am in tears again when I watch this scene, Kang Jin really grows up. He experienced himself how it feels to love someone and yet you're unable to be with someone you love,  that's the reason why he lets his mom go. He wants her to be happy and lives without regret.

The essential of love is that you really grow up and wiser than before. Because of love someone can see other in his/her own shoes. Cha Kang Jin experienced a very painful love, he becomes mature because of love, he understand his mom feeling because of love....

Will It Snow For Christmas (Part 3)

"Here I am, I pretend that I didn't hear anything about the death of Ji Wan's brother. I want to be with her, spend every second of my time with her"

"But what is happening with her ? Why she keeps swallow the food and throws it again. What is it again Ji Wan ? Why is there another problem every time we date ?"

"Enough is enough, I can't bear to see you in pain again. Let's say off for today, let's go home, it's late." "We will meet again, we will meet every day to catch up the 8 years we left behind. Let's go home,dear..."

Cha Kang Jin is determinant to treat Ji Wan really well. That day he even bough some flowers for her, and drew a sick love smile in his lips but Ji Wan's boss suddenly rushed out from the restaurant only to tell him she is hospitalized.

"I have no idea that I make you so much pain. You stubbornly stay by my side, when inside you can't bear the guiltiness towards your brother's death. Ji Wan, I want to see you happy and healthy, if being with me make you  suffer so much. I can't do anything but to let you go, I am sorry Ji Wan, I am sorry that I want to be with you badly, I am sorry that the love I have for you, make you  in pain so much. I am sorry.."

ko soo gif

Cha Kang Jin after bravely left Ji Wan, he only works and works, he can't express his love to her, yet he cannot accept anybody's love. But when the sight of her appears before his eyes, he feels like the old wound has been cut again. He can do every thing just to make Ji Wan happy, even to let her become somebody's wife. He will continue to love her silently, he doesn't bother even if he must sacrifice everything, cause nothing compare what Ji Wan's has been through because of her love for him.

Will It Snow For Christmas (Part 2)

Cha Kang Jin basically is a cold guy, he doesn't accept the word 'defeat'. When he found Ji Wan, he thinks of her like something belongs to him. No one can get crossing his way, when Park Tae Jun warns him not to get closer to his fiancee (Ji Wan), he doesn't bother to look at him. "I don't care" He said, what a determinant guy.

"The pendant, how come it is with her especially after she lied it wasn't mine. Ji Wan how come you found it. How come she dived into that cold water? She is really stupid, a silly girl that makes me own her too much. A girl who stupidly  broke into my life. The only girl who makes me fall in love yet she left without words....."

I can't help but cry when I saw this scene, Ko Soo's expression is too much to say. At the beginning he is sound upset, he cannot bear that Ji Wan has lied to him and pretend not to know him. The pendant confirms that she never forgets him, she loves him the way he loves her. But he has also tons of questions why she left out of sudden.

I can't help but recite what Ko Soo's says in Korean, "Just take it slow.....from now I will see you everyday..." He speaks so tender while trying hard not to cry so loud. His voice is trembling, mixing between happiness and touching. His words in Korean sounds really beautiful.....

Firts date...., Ji Wan comes so late  ,"Yes, I went out to buy a blanket so I can't sleep and wait for you here". Ko Soo is pouting like a young boy, ha..ha.ha , this conversation is really funny. But the picture below is even funnier.

Cha Kang Jin is a very serious guy, but when he is with Ji Wan he could be very playful too. I love the way Ko Soo look at her behind the book. He teases her indeed...., and Ko Soo expression tells the viewer how happy Cha Kang Jin is...

Happiness is short, when later Kang Jin found out Ji Wan's brother died when he took his pendant, he has this look. His rough looks is even more painful than his tears. It's so hard that Cha Kang Jin who always look dashing in his sharp suit, in this picture he doesn't even care to shave.

He even feels more heart broken to see Ji Wan at his office's lobby. he doesn't know how to react, he just there standing like a statue. Ko Soo, I am in pain too to see how you look in this scene.

Work is in trouble, so is the woman he loves, Kang Jin calls his mom. I always love the conversation telephonic between Kang Jin and his Mom. They are more like brother and sister than a son and a mother.

He actually decides to return to his home town that night. But when Kang Jin sees the map that Ji Wan's draws in his hand, his determinant starts to shake. If there is something he could sacrifice all, it's Ji Wan. It's painful to see Ji Wan in pain because of him but it's more painful for him not to see her.

Will It Snow For Christmas ? (Part 1)

This is my first time to write about this drama, although this is Ko Soo's big hit. but for some reason when time gets closer to winter little by little, somehow this drama become the memory of winter. Only this time I didn't put the best scene of the drama, instead I write more about Ko Soo and his best look .

This look is one of my favorites , "So what if my mom is a tea room madame ". The mature Cha Kang Jin is the mature Ko Soo.  This is the wise look of mature son who finally respects his mom no matter what  job she does to make a living, cause no matter how bad she is, she is still a responsible mother. At least she never left him no matter what trouble Kang Jin made in his teenage days.

"At the open gate...; Ji Wan's father always opens the gate in his house, in case Ji Wan returns one day, so she knows that this house has always an open door for her".This is the gate of Ja Kang Jin heart, no matter how many women he met, somehow his heart always waits for Ji Wan to return

"I am team manager Cha Kang Jin... Is she still remember me ?" Kang Jin cannot help but ask her if she knows him. "And what the heck,  she didn't recognize me at all. Han Ji Wan , what do you think you're dong. You forget me so easily? "
The agony of a man, who helplessly falls in love with only one woman, the anger's mixed with sorrow, Ko Soo is extremely good with his 'no words' expression. Somehow cold....but there are too much love he wants to say although he ends up saying nothing.

"What's up Bu Shan-a..." Kang Jin was a rebel child, but when he gets mature, he becomes a warm brother and a dutiful son. Life is though but Kan Jin grows up and turns into a righteous person.

"Should I care or just let her be ? did she really love Park Tae Jun ? The way she waist for him outside his door makes me upset to death. Yet, I feel pity at her, and how stupid she could be. how much she loves that man ? Does she completely forget about me ?" (In short, I really love  Ko Soo in his "bed scene" like this)

"What does she do at my door step ? Does she still remember me ? But why does she pretend that she doesn't recognize me ? Han Ji Wan...."
I really love Ko Soo's expression in this scene, full of hope, his heart beat so fast, but yet when he appears in front of his heroine he pretends to be cool.

"What is the reason of your depart ? Why did you leave so selfishly ? You leave  heart broken parents, have you ever thought of them...and me " Finally he burst out of  the question that he's kept for the long  8 years.

"I am happy to meet you again, Han Ji Wan....." " Finally she admitted , you're " my old Han Ji Wan", I've found you finally....I've found you..." (Ko Soo's watering eyes and this sweet smile becomes his trade mark in this drama. It seems all girls fall for this expression)

Finally.........after 8 years....he holds all his longing for her, after all pretensions, he found her, the light of his life finally comes back.....
