Ko Soo 's back

By :nonie2868

It has been quite sometime since we update our Ko Soo blog. For a while I am busy with my new obsession Yoon Kye Sang. But there are things about Ko Soo that I can't leave behind, so we try to catch up with Ko Soo latest issue.

Love 911 synopsis : Kang-il is a 911 rescue worker who refuses to love anyone since he lost his wife. Tortured with guilt and regret that he wasn’t there for his wife when she’s dying, he loses all his will to live. Mi-soo is a surgical doctor who would do just about anything to achieve her goal, with no interest in love. One day, she is sued by patient’s family because of her wrong prescription and needs a witness not to lose her license, and that witness turns out to be Kang-il. Although she discovers that she was the very doctor who lost his wife on the operating table in the past, she tries to get close to him with the ill intentions only to use him as her witness. Yet when Mi-soo joins as a paramedic at his fire station, they slowly begin to fall for each other.
This year Ko Soo has been filming "Love 911" along with Han Hyo Joo (Spring Waltz). I love her in last year love story  movie with So Ji Sub as her co-star ; "Only You

Here's some stills from the film, enjoy !

Ko Soo as Kang Il, a fire fighter, I hope I can watch it in Jakarta, not always watching them on line argggggh!

Han Hyo Joo is Mi-soo , a surgical doctor. She looks so sweet as the first time I saw her in Spring Waltz

It's indeed so refreshing to see Ko Soo in love story film after the drama"Will It Snow For Christmas". These past two years he only acted in action movie, my favorite : Psychic and The Front line.

The latest news is the most exciting one; Ko Soo will return to dramaland, yeayyyy! I miss those beautiful eyes of him.  But why with Ji Jin Hee ? Don't tell me that Ko Soo will become the second lead actor, nooooo!  It's a historical series. During his carrier Ko Soo never acts in any historical story, will it be a sageuk drama ? Aww I am so impatient, hope we will see Ko Soo more in the future. But Ji Jin Hee acted in several sageuk drama like : Dae Jang Geum and Dong Yi......ottoke ?

KO SOO 'S WEDDING (part 2) : THE CEREMONY

THE BRIDE

Ko Soo’s bride is Kim Hye Yeon, born in 1989 so she’s 11 years younger than Ko Soo. After it became known that she was in a relationship with Ko Soo in March 2011, she made issues on the net for her beauty, which befits her status as a former ulzzang (aka the prettiest face) of S Arts High School.

Kim majors in sculpture at 'K' University, still a young woman indeed but known as a mature lady. She is not a fan of Ko Soo and the aggressive one in that relationship (hehe :) )
A close friend of the couple stated, “They’d make a fantastic couple. The wife is very understanding and she’s been very helpful in making Ko Soo feel comfortable working as an actor. She’s a cheerful person and she’s quite the beauty as well”.

The MC

The emcee of the wedding was Lee Byung Hun, who is in the same management company as Ko Soo. Despite busy schedules, Lee Byung Hun showed great loyalty by agreeing to be the emcee. “This is my brother’s wedding, of course I have to make it,” he said.

In the interview, Lee Byung Hun stated, “I couldn't hold the ceremony as 'Syurei' ('Syurei' : a very important role in a Korean wedding ceremony who manages the ceremony) so I decided to be the emcee. The day before there was a greeting by the groom and bride-to-be. So that I could hear their love story from them. They didn't ask me to do anything in particular. Though Ko Soo is younger than me and the bride is also so young, listening to the story about their first encounter.. their story moved me deeply. They have a very impressive love story. I'm sure that they can overcome any difficulties and be happy together.”

THE OFFICIAL

Veteran actor, Lee Soon Jae who has acted in the SBS drama, ‘My Fair Lady’ with Ko Soo in 2003 was the presiding officer for Ko Soo’s wedding ceremony. The 33-year-old groom asked actor Lee Soon-jae to officiate the wedding, whom Ko Soo has always respected.

THE SINGER

Gummy is the singer of Ko Soo’s drama ‘Will it Snow for Christmas?’ OST with her popular song ‘Because It’s You’. When Ko Soo made an appearance on Japan TV Station for promoting that drama in an event called ‘Spring Christmas’, Gummy was also there to perform the OST lived on stage. For Ko Soo’s wedding, Gummy had invited to sing the congratulatory wedding song.

THE CEREMONY

In consideration of the fact that Ko Soo's bride is not a celebrity, the wedding event was very quietly and privately.
Despite being a private wedding ceremony, still it was a celebration of Ko Soo's international fans, based on a very long line of fans from all over the world gathered outside the Hotel Shilla, made us realized the worldwide popularity of Ko Soo.

Lee Byung Hun - the MC of the wedding event - started the ceremony so the crowd had a relax mood. In the beginning the bride seemed a little nervous, but then the wedding official eased the atmosphere with a little extra message to the groom and the bride came with laughter.

The sweet voice of Sin Seung Hun was being the wedding anthem then showing a witty joke to bring the unique atmosphere.

After a call to make the appearance, here came the groom and the bride. All celebrity guests, including actress Kim Sun Ah, sprinkled bride and groom with flowers, along with other guests to celebrate.  The bride and groom had responded with smiles on their faces. The second part was Gummy, singing the congraturaly wedding song to the happy couple and the music performances was finished.

Interview with Son Ye Jin :"Not too close with KO SOO ? Are you watching, my brother!"

She clarified her buzzing statement 'I'm not too close with Ko Soo': Were you seeing him?
"Oh, sort of." (laughs)

She is Son Ye-jin, a colder than ice femme fatale yet hot like a fire in her movie 'Baekyahaeng' aka 'White Night'.

Platonic relationship with KO SOO ? What's up with the buzzing statement?

-skipped-

In acting world, there's some match down of actors to portray their characters best. In particular, Ko Soo and Son Ye-Jin in 'White Night' as a femme fatale Yumi.

"The shooting of 'White Night' was the hardest work ever. Yumi's character is a two-faces woman. With Ko Soo in 'White Night' we couldn't meet often since there's only few scenes to shot together. So we couldn't talk much. It was very difficult to get to know each other."

"Wait, let me have this opportunity to explain what happened. I appeared on the radio and somehow said that I'm closer with Lee Min Ki than with Ko Soo, then I saw the article about it. Looks like there's a misunderstanding about my words. What I mean is with Min Ki (when filming 'Chilling Romance') we met frequently so the intimate feeling occurred more quickly than with Ko Soo (when filming 'White Night'). Because Ko Soo didn't want to dismantle the feeling of his character so he created the wall between us. My brother Ko Soo, are you watching! I want an opportunity in the future to work with you once more. As very intimate character (laughs)."

WID : I remember that in one particular interview, SYJ said during White Night shooting days Ko Soo was always sitting alone in the dark corner and didn't say anything to anyone. It's his acting method to feel the loneliness of Yohan, his character. Ko Soo and SYJ were getting closer when they promoted White Night... up to now, I guess :)

Nonie : And here's one of the interview, which ....what should I say, they look comfortable to each other, and as a result the chemistry between them on the screen is great although there is no romantic scene at all.

Ko Soo Update, November 2011

A little bit late for an update, but what can we say, we have a little problem with blogger. Somehow when the posting has a a lot of picture, it takes time to publish  or sometime even impossible.

It's completely a late news that Ko Soo will attend "2011Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA)”(but it's better late than never). The show will be broadcast live through their official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MnetUSA) and will air from 7PM to 11PM (KST) on November 29 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Ko Soo will come to Singapore on 28th November, too bad we are not sure which hotel he will stay. We hope some of our friends will be able to attend this event and we can have some close special  report from them.
The latest news from Blue Dragon Award, our Ko Soo lost for best actor category but won popularity award (people choice), not bad Ko Soo ssie but we hope he could do better in the future.

A Letter from Lieutanant Kim

Translated in English by : ELSIE

Max Movie has published a special letter series for each character in GOJIJEON. These letters talk about life and death on the battlefield.

Letter from Aero.K – From Lieutenant Kim Soo Hyuk (Ko Soo) of the Alligator Squadron who is cool headed, daring and always at the forefront of combat.

July 1, 1953

Occasionally I think I have died before.

At first, I was unskilled in holding a gun.

Now I shoot freely and put the gun to the enemy’s face.

Naturally, I will go to hell because I have shed much blood.

There is no hell more than here.

It is likely that I will not be able to leave this place.

It is necessary to survive.

For the comrade-in-arms who died and for the number of enemy forces that we killed,
it is necessary to survive and to return to our hometown again.

The head of the new company came today.

And … my friend Eun Pyo who separated from me during the war.

I never thought that I’ll see Eun Pyo again.

Everything was forgotten regarding combat at the bay.
Because it was at that time that I have already died.

After the successful recapturing of the highlands the day before yesterday, something interesting happened.

It was a beautiful photograph of the younger sister of the people’s army named Cha Te Gyon.

I confiscated the photograph from a platoon member.

I noticed that the photograph looks like someone.
The child in the photograph completely looks like the younger sister of death.

The guy will be firmly killed tomorrow.
Accurately It will hear a shot in two seconds and 'bang'.
The more I imagine images of persons falling like silent meat, the more fear surges.
However, if the guy is not killed . . . We platoon members will die anyway.

By the way, the address written on the back of the child's photograph

will reveal the place where the child lives?
Let's really write a letter to the child if a truce becomes a reality.
To meet once.

Ko Soo and Cha Ye Ryeon enjoyed 'Sweet Dating' in CJ launching show of the new premium sugar. Ko Soo has been chosen as spokeperson coz of his "athletic star" image in the entertainment industry.

This premium sugar is good for a healty person like Ko Soo who watch what he eats and to maintain a slim body like Cha Ye Ryeon as a model.

Ko Soo in a navy suit and Cha Ye Ryeon in an orange mini-dress were sharing their sweet smiles to fans.

Cha ye Ryeon said "It's not easy for actress to overcome the temptation of sweets. Eating sweet snacks were happy childhood memories that I miss so much."
